Paris in 1 day

What to do in Paris in 1 day

If you really only have 1 day, we recommend two very different options: one, with tour bus, in which you know several points. Another, our suggestion of script for those who prefer to know the city on foot.

Sightseeing Bus: Hop on-Hop off

A good alternative to travel around the main sights, especially considering who is not time to understand the structure of the city or does not dominate public transport and will spend 1 day (or short time), is to make a circuit by tourist buses.

Generally this type of service allows you to get off at several stops and return to the bus to continue the route. You still have explanations about the main attractions (audio is always available in several languages and Portuguese is usually included).

That way you have a general overview of the city and you will not get so tired.

Hop on - Hop off in Paris

The advantage of embarking on one of these hop-on hop-offs (from which you can hop on and off as many times as you want at pre-determined points) is to see the city a bit better and choose, for example, a point to explore in more detail, according to your personal taste.

The downside, aside from the sometimes complicated traffic in a metropolis like Paris, is that the best places - those that allow unforgettable pictures and panoramic views - are upstairs ... So it's best to check the weather before.

In any case, companies offer a privileged route for first-time tourists. You go down, you know the place and get on the next bus, or stay inside it and just admire the scenery.

Excursions, which can be day or night, also offer options that connect tourist buses and cruise on the Seine.

With some property we can say that Paris does not know in a single day. The most charming places only the tourist "traveler" will have the opportunity to meet. The "enchanted" Paris is gradually discovered and, of course, with the possibilities (of time, money and research) of each one.

Sometimes very touristy places get boring (sorry the sincerity), plus always crowded and some with endless queues. Not that they are not worth it, far from it ... We just need some basic tips (essential, actually). You have to go! It is that Paris remembers our history books, it is a meeting of different cultures, it breathes romance, art, gastronomy and ... perfume - of gardens, boulangeries, epiceries .... In addition to being an open air museum, so we can say. So, that impression that we could have "explored a bit more" will always accompany us.

Well, leaving aside the ramblings and going back to the topic of the post, we relate below the main companies that offer the panoramic tour and then, for those who like to prepare their private itinerary, is willing to walk a lot and venture on their own, we will give our suggestions for 1 day tour.

The variety of options is huge, it pays to take a look at each company's websites.

In fact it is a tour company that sells several packages ready.

There are hundreds of offers and tickets can be booked online.

It has 4 routes (blue line, yellow line, green line and orange line) and 50 stops.

Tickets can be purchased online.

Itinerary:

1 day in Paris ... Just a proposal, because tastes vary and places do not lack ...

-Follow the Jardin des Tuileries (which is very central) and visit the Musée du Louvre. The tip is to search and bookmark before, on the map, what you want to visit. The museum is very large, has 3 wings and, even with planning, you can not see everything in one day. Then, separate what you like among the paintings, sculptures or treasures of antiquity and draw your own plan of access. Alert the fact that the museum does not open on Tuesdays. It is allowed to shoot (without flash, of course) and shoot.

- Drive down the Pont des Arts and take a tour of the islands (Cité and St-Louis), starting at Pont Neuf, going to Cathédrale Notre-Dame, crossing the Pont de Sully and perhaps passing on Le Flore in l 'Ile (http://www.lefloreenlile.fr/en/index.html), a restaurant with a great location offering brunchs and varied menus.

- Head for the Arc de Triomphe, another very important tourist spot in the capital (we suggest to go by subway - take line 1 and get off at Charles de Gaulle Étoile station) and stroll along the famous Av des Champs Élysées. If you have "legs" walk down the avenue to Place de la Concorde, past the Grand Palais and Petit Palais.
