In a bohemian neighborhood - Montmartre -, with artists, sex shops and the famous Moulin Rouge, stands the famous white basilica in the shape of a Greek cross with four domes, at the highest point in Paris. From there, the view of the city is panoramic.
You can take the stairs, the funicular (saves steps, but sometimes the queue is immense) or as we prefer and indicate: the streets! Bucolic, with beautiful houses, full of green and... quiet.
Photos are not allowed inside (fascinating, by the way), but as the outside is also beautiful, enjoy. Just be careful, especially on the stairs, with people trying to sell you souvenirs. No big deal, but sometimes they approach us in a kind of “untimely” way.
.
It has a beautiful square with a wall (Le Mur des je t'aime) where the phrase “I love you” is written in several languages. And the Square Jean Rictus, next to Place des Abbesses, right next to the metro.
