In the city centre, between the Louvre and
Place de la Concorde, the Jardin des Tuileries is a must visit.
Each season, a different garden... In summer, an amusement park is installed. In autumn, fallen leaves form real colored rugs. In spring, the highlight is the splendor of vividly colored flowers and unforgettable perfumes. In winter, the scenery becomes almost monochromatic, between the dark tones of the branches and the gray sky.
Its famous green chairs are an invitation to sit, relax and admire the lakes, the flowers, the perfectly pruned trees, life in short.
Fountains and sculptures by famous names such as Rodin, Carpeaux, Maillol, Giacometti, Henry Moore, Dubuffet and Max Ernst make this beautiful garden an open-air museum.
The Musée de l'Orangerie and the Jeu de Paume are in the garden area, which is also on the way to the Louvre. In other words, the point is really strategic, there's no way to lose.
